Mutton biryani recipe | easy and delicious biryani | By Food and The Foodie

This biryani recipe is very quick,simple and easy.i made it with very simple ingredients and it tastes scrumptious 😋 so let's get started;



ingredients:

oil 3/4 cup garlic cloves handful onion 4 sliced mutton 1 kg turmeric 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp 2 glass water red chili powder 1 tbsp red chili flakes 2 tsp coriander powder 1 tbsp tomatoes 2 blended without skin biryani masala 2 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tbsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp ginger and green chilies chopped 2 tbsp 2 lemon sliced all spice powder 1/2 tsp

for layering:

mint leaves 4 tbsp yellow food color(mix with some water) ghee/clarified butter 2 tbsp Ingredients for rice: Rice 1 kg (soaked) Salt 1 tbsp Cinnamon stick 1 Black cardamom 2 Cloves 4 to 5 Black pepper 7 to 8 Star anise seeds 1 & 1/2 Bay leaves 2 to 3 Oil 1 tbsp Boil rice with all mentioned ingredients. When rice becomes 3/4 done Strain them.

Method:

In a pressure cooker add oil, onions, garlic and mutton fry until it changes color. add in salt and turmeric mix well add water, close lid. Cook for 20 minutes. (Time counts; when it starts to whistle) After that add in ,red chili powder, chili flakes, coriander powder. Mix well and cook couple of minutes. Then add in blended tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. Now add in biryani masala; When oil starts to separate add cumin and coriander seeds and chopped ginger & green chilies. Mix well and at the end mix in all spice powder, lemon slices and off flame. Now start layering: First layer rice then meat again rice ,meat and then rice. At the top pour yellow food color and ghee. Let it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. Then dish it out and serve to your guests or enjoy with your family. You can serve it with your favorite yoghurt raita or chatni.
